IELTS Overview
International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is most recognized and popular English test for those who are willing to pursue a career or to serve in a country where English is the primary language of communication.
Being the most popular English test for migration, more than 2.2 million people apply for the test each year. The test has four major sections: Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. When it comes to recognition, there are more than 9000 education and professional institutions are availing the test to evaluate Language fluency of their students.
IELTS has two major versions: Academic and General Training. The Academic IELTS stands for those who are willing to study post-graduate or undergraduate programs in such country. On the other hand, the general training is for those who are willing to migrate to English Speaking country for training or studying at below degree level.
IELTS Exam Pattern
As stated earlier, IELTS questions are divided into four major sections: Reading, Speaking, Writing and listening. One has to score better on each section to qualify the exam. Listening section is limited to 30 minutes, the speaking to 11-14 minutes, and the rest are 60 minutes. The speaking section will be held on different sitting, you may have to wait for a week for this section.
