Queen English is supposed to be the pure form of the language. To obey when we refer to English we are referring to Great Britain. Out of two international languages English is most commonly spoken first language, with some 400 million native speakers, and is the world’s most widely used second language. English belongs to the West Germanic group of Indo-European languages, though its vocabulary has been much influenced by Norman French and Latin. Everyone who is learning English wants to know how to speak English fluently. In some countries like India, China etc., English being the second language people hesitate while speaking it. Once you learn English it boost your confidence and makes personality more formal and respectful. It is very important to listen English as it will enhance your speaking fluency. This is easy with access to the web, movies, TV and radio. While listening, you tend to absorb the language and will start using phrases and sentence constructively. If you want to do well, you have to practice it. The most important thing you can do is to improve your speaking skills is to practice. Speak to friends, co-workers, classmates, people on Skype or the web, people in stores, even complete strangers. The more you practice, the more comfortable you will get. The focus of language assessment is shifting from knowledge of grammar and vocabulary to functional competence, i.e. the language they’re learning across the four skills: listening, reading, speaking and writing. This seems to imply that spoken fluency is indeed the most important goal for all language learners.
